Powered by The People

Powered by the People has reported steady growth since opening its door for business in 2010, and this is all due in part to a two part referral base system the company has implemented, says [insert your name], head of the company which has been helping businesses connect with prospective customers searching for professional services via online networking.

“We are grateful to all our customers who have helped along the way firstly through their repeat business, and secondly from word of mouth promotion between friends and family of the businesses that are part of our network,”.

Powered by the People, developed after its owners had discovered a growing concern with the online marketplace, and gives people the opportunity to work by opening its network of local contractors to the public.

Asked how it all began, who founded Powered by the People back in 2010, explained:

“After a friend of mine living in California came and told me his story I really felt for the guy.  He has a small business in Los Angeles and just bought a house and had a newborn, life was good and he was building his business and life and then trouble struck.

“After another update on one of the major search engines, he lost 80 percent of his work because two companies were dominating the search results in his industry. With being bounced from his online position to page 20 of the search results, he went with Pay per click.

“Not seeing any results from pay per click techniques, he has gotten to a point where he could lose his house. We saw his dilemma and only imagined if this is affecting him, it’s probably affecting millions.

“From there, we decided that it should change, as too many hard working people and professional local contractors and small businesses that are known for their quality service cloud, lose everything because they don’t have the knowledge to compete and dominate on the Internet.

“They are also stuck because they don’t have the money to spend on costly marketing campaigns that can bring little results.

“We wanted to give everyone the opportunity to work. So, we opened our network to the public, and how the network functions, is that the search results found on our site for local contractors are randomly selected… no cherry picking, meaning no one gets to dominate the industry or search results, thus giving the consumer a fair chance at pick top rated local services.

“The aim is to bring the real local back to search results, and through Powered by the People, we feel we are doing a pretty good job.” Apple user Powered by The People.
